Under 18s 'Allies' team named
The ‘Allies’ team that will compete in Round Two of the NAB AFL Women’s Under 18 Championships has been confirmed.
The team is made up of players from the Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania and it is the first time an Allies team will play in the Championships.

It has also been confirmed that Adelaide Premiership coach Bec Goddard will coach the team and she will be joined by GWS Giants players Renee Forth and Jess Dal Pos and Melbourne player Katherine Smith as assistant coaches.
“I’m looking forward to coaching at the championships as the standard of under-age women’s football continues to improve throughout the country,”
“The championships play an important role in developing the next generation of AFLW players and I expect to see many of the players feature in the NAB AFL Women’s Draft in October.” Coach Bec Goddard said in a statement.

Round Two of the Under 18 Championships will be held on the Gold Coast from Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14. The competing teams are; The Allies, NSW/ACT, Queensland, Vic Country, Vic Metro and Western Australia.
